


Branch Manager

As Branch Manager you’ll be maximising sales and profit by managing resources and maintaing high standards. Managing a team of sales advisors to deliver great service, we’ll look to you to develop customer loyalty and local business relationships. As well as creating a passionate and informed team you’ll use your entrepreneurial skills to build the brand image. Using initiative and commercial awareness, we’ll also depend on you to go that extra mile and delight our customers. Many of our managers host regular external tasting events for groups of customers.
Responsible for recruitment, training and performance management, you will take responsibility for ensuring all branch staff receive customer and training and encourage their careers. To customers, you’ll demonstrate expertise in selling and add value at every opportunity, increasing your own product knowledge and knowledge of market developments.

For this role you will need:
At least a year’s experience in a wine retail environment or related industry experience and a minimum of two years’ management experience in a retail environment, managing business to business relationships
Knowledge of shop operating principles, including licensing, employment and health and safety legislation, as you will be the licence holder
Ability to communicate at all levels including written and verbal and run training sessions and meetings with your store team
Experience of stock and cash control management
The ability to plan, organise and delegate effectively
Experience of managing a team including recruiting, inducting, performance management and providing ongoing support and coaching
Highly levels of customer-focus
Track record of achieving and setting sales targets and interpreting financial data
