Wine Rack Graduates
We are keen to hear from students looking for a career in the wine industry, but we do not offer a traditional Graduate Management Programme. Why? Well, we believe we have a more flexible approach. At Wine Rack Graduates can be in a position to be running their own store within six months of joining us.
That’s managing a team of people, being fully responsible for the profit & loss account for the store, driving sales and maximising performance by providing exceptional customer service. Our leading bespoke training will build on your knowledge, shaping you into a wine specialist to rival the best in the business. You’ll enjoy plenty of product exposure – including wine tastings, potentially visiting vineyards and suppliers, supplier tastings, wine fairs and master classes at various tasting events sponsored by the company or suppliers. We also run an ongoing incentive programme and the winners are given the opportunity to visit wine regions across the world. So you can discuss the finer points of wine with our well-versed customers, make personal recommendations and feel an in-depth affinity with every one of our products. What do we look for in our people?
Ideally you’ll already have had previous experience in a retail environment during university holidays - but most important is your proactive, energetic style and can-do attitude. Because you can do plenty at Wine Rack. We’re comfortable to allow skilled, entrepreneurial Managers take free rein and run the business as if it’s their own – taking full P&L responsibility, developing a team of like-minded people, increasing sales and generating attractive personal bonus potential at the same time.
